Happy Tuesday! I hope your week is off to a great start. I don’t go back to school until tomorrow and have been so happy to have a few days to relax and try to mentally block out the fact that I have three research papers due in the next three weeks (plus a speech, plus final exams…). Anyways, enough with the school talk. I don’t know about y’all but I had such an amazing weekend.
Tomorrow is my four year anniversary with Riley, which is absolutely amazing. However, we have kind of found ourselves in a date night rut lately. He and I (me, mostly) are total creatures of habit. Every nice date night that involves us getting dressed and leaving the house instead of lounging in sweatpants and eating candy and chips ends up being at our all time favorite Mexican restaurant on the lake. So, Friday night we decided to branch out from our norm and try a new foodie spot. While sitting in traffic, Riley jokingly said “we should just go get your Louis Vuitton tonight!”
I had been planning on buying myself a new Louis Vuitton, a Neverfull GM, for my birthday in May, however we made a total spur of the moment decision, exited the freeway and head towards the mall. We had dinner at Magliano’s, an Italian restaurant nearby, contemplated the purchase over a plate of gnocchi, and head into LV to buy my bag! It was an amazing date night for sure.
I kind of felt like I was in a rut as far as cute, date night outfits went as well. Riley and I are both super casual and love athleisure wear, but sometimes I want a girly, flirty outfit for a night out together. I love this blouse because it shows just enough skin and has enough fun details to be a great date night top, while still being comfy and simple. I paired it with my very favorite distressed raw hem jeans and a block heel that I could walk around in. I love that I didn’t feel too overdone, but still felt pretty and pulled together for our fun night out!
I would love to hear about your weekend or your plans for next weekend!
